Bike fitting is a huge part of every bike we sell. We also offer our bike fitting services to a customer with existing bikes not bought from us.
We start by measuring your anatomy which will reveal your body proportions. From these measurements we have a starting point for your ideal geometry which we re-create on the bike jig. From this starting point we measure all the angles and adjust the geometry accordingly to optomise your position. The set up of the jig is then replicated to your bike or bikes and then you will be fitted to the bike.
Over the years we have used many different bike fitting methods and processes including motion capture and 3d fitting. Today we use an amalgamation of methods that compliment each other and that make best use of the time and more importantly the results transferable to every bike.
You will end up with an ideal geometry so that moving forward you will have this for any future bike purchase. You will also receive a set of set up measurements so that you can apply these to any bike. We will also tell you which shape of saddle that you should be riding.
Why do others charge more than double?
Bike fitting is revenue generator for many bike shops and you don’t always get what you pay for. Bike fitting is an art and a science and a little bit subjective, we are big believer that technology doesn’t guarantee a good bike fit, it’s the bike fitter that’s the most important factor. We could charge £200 plus for a bike fit but it’s about building relationships for us and so we prefer to offer great value for your money.
