Two years of thorough research has led to the creation of this new cycling brand, Comtat London. The aim of the brand is to bring you the quality and performance you expect from a road bike, along with the style you’re after, but at a price you wouldn’t expect.

Price is something we spend a lot of time trying to keep to a minimum. Firstly, we manufacture in bulk, which helps. Secondly, we are an internet-only business which ensures we keep overheads down and as we are also the retailer we avoid having to add on an extra 30 to 40% as a markup. Finally, we don’t spend huge amounts on expensive marketing promotions, like some other established bike brands.
Our frames and components are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) designs and are carefully sourced from the Far East. The complete bikes are built in London by a Comtat approved mechanic with over 12 years experience of working on performance road bikes.
Having researched this very carefully and looked at a variety of options, it was a decision that was, in the end, easy to make. China and Taiwan are now producing the best quality carbon bikes in the world. This why Cervelo, Cannondale, Kuota, Trek, Giant, Ridley, Pinarello and even Colnago are sourcing carbon from the Far East. It’s not just about price, it’s the quality. Frames stating they are made in Italy are often still manufactured in China and just painted in Italy.
All our bikes go through rigourous tests and meet EN safety standards.

We are confident about our products so we will give you a 3-year warranty against failure and defects from the date of purchase. See terms and conditions.
Carbon road bikes and frames have been around for a long time now and make up a huge percentage of road bike sales. The fact that the big bike companies are producing entry level bikes in carbon shows that carbon is now, as durable, and in some cases more so, than aluminium.
The benefits of carbon are of course the weight you can save. With carbon there is no restriction on the shapes it can be moulded in into, so stiffness can be added or taken away anywhere on the bike during the design process. The result is a road bike that does exactly what it’s designed for and has a stiffness that is better than with any other material. There isn’t a single pro-peloton team who don’t ride carbon for exactly this reason.
At the moment we’re afraid not, it’s still early days, but please feel free to go through the many images of each model on the site and if you would like to talk about any of the products please give us a call.
You have 14 days to return the bike in the condition it was sent to you i.e. carefully packaged and in an un-ridden and perfect condition. We will refund the full amount including the carriage charge to you. All we ask is that you cover the postage charge back to us. Please note, this doesn’t apply to bikes configured and built in the Comtat Creator™ as these bikes are custom built to your own specifications.
The weights are mainly taken from the manufacturers so Comat London cannot guarantee they are 100% accurate. The weight is provided as a guide only and you can expect a 10% differential either way.
We like to think so. However, if you think otherwise, please feel free to let us know.
